Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Gia - founder of Sporty Chic Brand

Sporty Chic Brand was born from a simple frustration: the hair ties and scrunchies I relied on couldn't keep up.  They either held my hair but caused breakage, or looked beautiful but slipped out of my hair.  As an Industrial Engineer, I've spent my 13-year career analyzing systems, identifying inefficiencies, and improving processes and products.  I couldn't ignore the gap - so I set out to solve it.

I approached hair accessories the same way I approach engineering problems: analyze the current state, understand why it fails, and build something better.

So, I created Sporty Chic Brand.

Where It Started

What began as a personal project quickly became something bigger.

I spent months testing fabrics and elastic bands, refining construction, and listening to real women about what worked and what didn't.  Each version was sewn, tested, improved and tested again - not just for appearance, but for hold, comfort, and longevity.

When women started telling me, "This is the best scrunchie I've ever used!" I knew Sporty Chic Brand had a purpose.

Built with Intention

Our scrunchies are thoughtfully designed, tested and produced with quality as the priority.  All scrunchies are handcrafted in Missouri, where we focus on premium construction, performance and attention to detail in every piece.

Sporty Chic is intentionally designed for women who expect the best for their hair.

The Bigger Vision

Sporty Chic Brand is more than accessories. 

It's about building a brand from the ground up. 

It's about resilience, creativity, and believing in an idea enough to bring it into the world.

It's about showing women they don't have to fit into one category - you can be beautiful and powerful, sporty and chic.
